It was a spectacular morning at Green Pond Landing along the shores of Lake Hartwell for day 3 of the Bassmaster Classic.

The vibe was subdued, partly because leader Jason Christie was heading out with nearly a 5-pound lead over Edwin Evers. Still, there was plenty of excitement in anticipation for what the day could hold as many in the field had circled Sunday as the day to possibly connect with a big stringer with how the conditions were shaping up.

Water temperatures ranged from 53 to 55 in the early stages of the morning and the bites seemed to be sparse as the sun got up above the trees.

Here's a sampling of what we witnessed on the water Sunday morning:
